Randomness (with pics)

Oh, the sweet moments of life:-)
And the funny ones!
And the ones he'll never forgive us for;-)

But how funny it was....

And the ones that we weren't sure we'd ever get!
This past weekend we had Wade's sister, her hubby, and daughter up to stay with us.  I'm sure it won't go down as the most exciting weekend of their lives, but the boys did some ice fishing (came up empty) and we had some quality time with the kiddos.  Above is Braxton & his cousin Emery.  She was born a preemie and is our sweet little miracle baby:-)  You wouldn't have guessed she was a couple months early looking at her now.  Such a sweet demeanor; the light of her parents' world!

As we were preparing for their arrival, we had to clean out the guest bedroom...we may or may not have shoved all of the stuff that used to be stored in the area that is now Braxton's playroom there in the interim. Them coming set some deadlines on finally having to go through the stuff.  We packaged up a bunch to send down to his mom for her annual rummage sale (she's know county wide;-), threw a bunch away, and put the rest in storage.  It was fun to reminisce about our wedding (going on 8 years ago), look at some sweet adolescent photos, but best of all the letters from camp friends of years past.  I should have saved them and could have written a million pages of teenage angst, but instead into the bonfire they went.  Young adult isn't the genre I'm trying to write anyway...my favorite letter though was from a girl from PA that compared contemplating losing her virginity to the very popular Christina Aguilara song at the time, "Genie In A Bottle!"

Anyway we came across some wigs from a costume party a few years back and I couldn't resist trying them on lil' man.  We (I) cracked up!  He had fun looking in the mirror and was probably more intrigued by my bursting fits of laughter.  I just couldn't get enough:-)

Suffice it to say it was a pleasant trip down memory lane.  Someday I'll get my act together and scan some really awkward photos (not that the ones I currently post couldn't qualify) from my "early years."  I also found the first book I ever wrote, "Fluffy's Lost Kitten."  Maybe I'll have to see if I can get that published;-)

This was kind of fun to write as it tops a kind of rough day.  Lots of stress, which I'm trying to avoid being preggers and all.  Such is life though, right?  Good to stop and enjoy the small, yet happy moments!
