January-worked out 11/31 days via my written workout journal at home.
No new pics today, sorry peeps! Didn't (but shoulda) bust out the camera this weekend. Friday was spent meeting a local MN author to gain some insight into his experience self publishing. I sent off my prologue and first chapter for a sample edit and was a little discouraged as the feedback (although some positive) was that my prologue was unnecessary and the first chapter lacked a proper hook (basically it was weak). I know this is one person's opinion and that my work still needs--well work, but sometimes feedback is hard to swallow.
Keeping it in perspective, I have a lot of interests and goals for myself and only so much time in each day. I still feel like I'll see at least this project through, but it may mean taking more time than I first planned (getting it "to the presses" by baby #2 being born this June). It hopefully will still happen, but putting out your best product is still the #1 piece of advice to aspiring authors, which I very much believe in.
I had dropped Braxton off at daycare to attend to these things on Friday and was away from home, so the theme of no workouts during the work week continued to remain strong.
Saturday brought with it a clear schedule and an offer from my mom to babysit, so we took advantage of getting a slow start (cleaning/naptime/workout) and then dropped him off to go to a movie (we saw Lincoln), a quick stop at the casino (where we won $60;-), and then dinner. It went by really fast and we enjoyed our time together sans child.
Sunday brought more of the same in the morning, including getting bundled up to play in the brisk outdoors, an always expensive trip to Target, and then over to the neighbors for the first half of the Super Bowl. Good food, good company, and then bedtime for the little man and I (Wade of course stayed up to finish the game).
We're back here to Monday to start off another week. On the agenda is a haircut for me after work today (much overdue) and our ultrasound on Friday. No plans again this weekend, which I can get used to. It's nice not being busy all of the time and helps encourage some quality family time.
Goal for the week: 3+ workouts. It doesn't matter what type or how long, I'd just like to move my body more...especially as I seem to be moving my mouth more (in terms of eating, not talking;-).
What's your goal this week?
Sounds like a great weekend! You got this girl! How was Lincoln?
